Summer, holidays, vacation.
We probably don't need to explain to anyone how much we love these three words. Maybe you are just about to spend a few days or weeks exploring foreign places and a few interesting tips from us can be an interesting inspiration for you.
Assisi

If you are planning to travel to Italy and you find yourself between Florence and Rome, you are offered a unique opportunity to visit Assisi, the birthplace of one of the most popular saints - St. Francis. Assisi is intrinsically connected with the Franciscan religious order, with St. Francis and St. Klara, so definitely don't miss their basilicas. We also recommend visiting the Basilica of Our Lady of the Angels, which houses a small house or chapel called the Porziuncola. The entire Franciscan complex in Assisi is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. In Assisi, however, you can also find two medieval castles and one of the highlights of the city is the square Piazza del Comune with its palace, tower and Miverva temple.

Lourdes

If you prefer mountains, the French Pyrenees can be a very good choice for you. Tarbes–Lourdes–Pyrénées Airport is located just a few kilometres from the world-famous Lourdes. Although the town is always full of tourists and pilgrims, despite the number of people in the complex of the Lourdes sanctuary, you will feel an incredible peace. Almost everyone knows that this place is associated with the apparitions of the Virgin Mary to Bernadette Soubirous.

Not even 50 km from Lourdes is the Pyrenean peak of the Pic du Midi with cable car and observatory, the ski resort La Mongie, all near the legendary Col du Tourmalet pass, known to all cyclists.
Fatima

When we mention Lourdes, we cannot fail to mention their Portuguese sister - Fatima, located almost halfway between Lisbon and Porto. It is also associated with the apparitions of the Virgin Mary. Fatima is dominated by the area of the sanctuary in Cova da Iria. However, its surroundings also offer places that you would not like to miss. Less than 50 kilometres away is Nazaré - a small town with magical views on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. And on the way back to Fatima, we recommend visiting the beautiful gothic monastery complex in the town of Batalha.
